Kids at Hope:
Kids at Hope creates a positive culture through strategies, activities, and trainings that engage all youth workers, educators, and parents. Research shows that kids will succeed if they are surrounded by adults who believe in them, if they have meaningful relationships with caring adults, and if they can articulate their future beyond just a job and career. Metro Parks Foundation:
The Greater Metro Parks Foundation is a private, nonprofit organization that promotes financial support to enhance parks and recreation programs and capital projects for Tacoma neighborhoods. The Metro Parks Tacoma Resource Development Office and the Greater Metro Parks Foundation work together to meet the funding needs of Metro Parks Tacoma. They raise funds for youth sports, arts and culture, scholarships, special events, parks community services and conservation, and the Zinna Linnick Project at Wright and McCarver Parks.

Pierce County Association for the Education of Young Children:
Pierce County Association for the Education of Young Children is the professional organization promoting professional standards in every area of the early childhood education field, including ethics, developmentally appropriate practices for young children, and professional development.
Pierce County Community Connections:
The Pierce County Community Connections Department manages the County’s aging and long-term care, mental health, developmental disabilities, and chemical dependency services. The department develops comprehensive plans, operates and monitors programs, and helps community agencies.

Puyallup Tribe of Indians:
The Puyallup Indians have lived along the shores of Puget Sound for thousands of years. Tribal members play vital roles in many aspects of life in the Puget Sound region. The Puyallup Tribe’s Birth to Six Program promotes the development of healthy children in our community by strengthening the critical roles of parents, families, and professionals by giving all of our children the best possible start in life. Birth to Six provides child development screening, culturally-relevant family resource coordination, information and referral, and direct early intervention services. Those eligible are Indian children between birth to five years of age, who are enrolled in a federally recognized Tribe. Families must reside within the service area of the Puyallup Tribe.

Tacoma Housing Authority provides high-quality housing and supportive services to needy people and families with a view toward creating strong, safe, vibrant, prosperous, attractive, and just communities. Tacoma Housing Authority is also involved in supportive services for people who need help to succeed, not only as tenants, but as parents, students, and wage earners.

Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department enhances personal and community health by controlling contagious diseases, protecting drinking water and food supplies, preventing illness and death caused by behavior choices, dealing with public health emergencies and natural disasters, and also strengthening families. Family Support Centers located in almost every area of Pierce County. Each Family Support Center helps families learn about: healthy pregnancy, how young children grow, how to help a child learn, and parenting skills. Family Support Centers also help families find resources for food, clothing, and housing.

Washington Scholarships for Child Care Professionals:
Washington Scholarships for Child Care Professionals, a program of the WA State Child Care Resource and Referral Network, is a statewide program providing scholarships to licensed child care center staff and family child care providers. Covers between 75-90% of the scholar’s expenses. Scholars and sponsoring centers cover remaining costs. Incentives, such as travel stipend and bonus, available.
Washington State Department of Early Learning:
Washington State Department of Early Learning oversees child care licensing and monitoring to help ensure safe, healthy, nurturing places for children. Manages the Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program for low-income 3- and 4-year-olds and their families. Shares information and resources with parents and supports training opportunities for child care providers. Handles child care subsidies to low-income families while they work, look for work, or train in connection with the Department of Social and Health Services.
